Sixth Lesson にほんご。すうじ。

すうじ
Numbers

This is the basic numbers.

But, there is exception for numbers referring to living things.
We will put 人 after the numbers. 人 is referring to people.

Alert! There is exception for numbers one and two. We will said hitori instead of ichinin
for number one while futari instead of ninin for number two.

If you can count to 100 in Japanese, then just add nin 人 after said the number to say how many people you are talking about. This is the same for any number. The word for everyone or everybody is minna, and depending on how polite you wish to address everyone by, you either add the polite san さん or sama 様 to minna 皆making it minnasan 皆さん or minnasama 皆様.

While, This is for numbers referring non-living things.
